Main window
Basic mode
Advanced mode
The program can work in two modes: basic and advanced.
Basic mode allows you to save only plain text and images from the Clipboard.
Advanced mode gives you more options. In addition to the basic formats, you can save RTF and HTML clips if they're present in the clipboard.
The main window contains top menu and two or four panels showing content of last saved clips.
Top menu:
-
Activate/Deactivate button
switches the application between active and deactivated mode. You can also do this using the tray icon menu or the hotkey which is set to Alt+1 by default.
-
"basic" and "advanced" save mode:
select desired work mode.
-
"play sound on clip save" checkbox:
the application plays selected sound every time a clip is saved from the clipboard if checked.
-
"retained clips" button:
this button simply opens the Explorer window with the folder where the clips are stored.
-
"more settings" button:
opens program settings window.
Settings
General settings
Use this tab to set the path to the folder where saved clips will be stored.
If you check the "save Clipboard content on activation" box, the app will save the data you put in the clipboard right after you activate it.
If you check the "open image after save" box, the image clip will open using the default app for that type of image after you save it.
Hotkeys settings
Here you can define two hotkeys to use in the program:
-
Hotkey to activate/deactivate the program, which is set to Alt+1 by default.
-
Hotkey to search clipboard contents in the Google. Pressing this hotkey will open your browser and will perform a search of the text contained in the clipboard.
To set up a hotkey check, if you need to, press Ctrl, Alt, or Shift, and then click on the "Key:" input box. Then press the key you want on your keyboard.
Next, click on "Check hotkey." This will check if the hotkey is available in the system.
Sound settings
here you can set whether the program will make sounds after activation or deactivation and when saving clipboard contents.
Advanced settings
These settings are for Advanced mode.
First, you can select the method used to store clips in the file system:
-
save clips as separate files speaks for itself - i.e. each clip is saved in a file with a unique name.
-
Merge all the clips into the same file means that all the clips of the same type will be written into the same file.
-
merge clips into the same file per activation - this option means that once the program is activated, all the clips will be saved to the new file until deactivated.
The group of switches labeled "Separators between clips" refers to the last two methods.
Tray icon

The program places an icon in the system tray, which you can use to manage the program via the context menu:
- Activate (Deactivate) - activates/deactivates the program
- Main window - shows the main program window
- Retained clips - shows saved fragments in Windows Explorer
- Exit program - exits the program (closing the main window does not quit the program)
Tray icon color changes depending on the program state:
-
- the program is deactivated
-
- the program is active and ready to save everything you copy to clipboard
